I worked for Pennsylvania House Furniture for over 25 years until it closed in 2004, as a labor, inspector, Quality Engineer, and for the last 15 years, as the Quality Control Manager. Went all over the USA teaching about repairing, and rework for them. Went to Canada, Central America and other places to do the engineering and quality work with outside vendors. Was the company trainer, training hundreds of backroom workers in furniture dealers, and our own factory people numbering over 500. After the factory was closed in 2005, I went to work for a small kitchen cabinet company, and now for a gun stock manufacturer. I taught finishing and abrasives in a college for 10 years. I am a Christian, and love to see God's secrets in wood when machining it. While I have a nice shop with enough tools, my favorite tool is the wood lathe. I have one shop smith, 3 carba-tech's, a small Grizzly, and a brand new Jet Midi 1220VS, 6 total. I guess that this is a fetish for me! It is humbling to see all the great projects on this web site, much better than mine, but I am happy with what I can do, and with what I am learning every day. I love to see the chips flying!
