I am 28, in grad school at Palmer College of Chiropractic. I love learning from this website so one day when I get my own shop (and tools) I will be well on my way to becoming a woodworker! Thanks for all the help and advice in advance, and with the knowledge I do have, I hope I can help out from time to time! Thanks

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

Hang in there buddy! I worked in a Lowe’s store part time in their tool depatment. We had the same thing happen there all the time. People opening closed tool cases, opening sealed packages, throwing leather goods all over the place and leaving stuff in my depatment from all other parts of the store. It was frustrating but I always felt it was just part of my job to pick up after them. In your case I would have called the manager and let him deal with the fool if he cared to do so. As far as showing you disrespect that is another thing. When I had an A-hole customer I would just walk away. If he ever complained to a manager I figured I would tell the boss I don’t have to put up with that bull-s. I would like to think he would have agreed with me. When that happens to you again, I would go home, hug that pretty girl of yours, thank God for all your blessings and pray for people like that!

God Bless
tom

I wished you lived closer to me. I have a thick router table with a lexan insert that you can have. For a fence, i used a piece of oak that was on a pivot on the left side and I used a C-clamp on the right edge to hold it in place once I set it. It is cut out in the front because I used a D-handle Makita router in it. It worked for me for 20 years until I got the bug to build a piece of furniture to house my Milwaukee router.I’m in Grand Rapids, Mi. you’re welcome to it if you get up that way….....
